Former U.S. Navy Workers File Asbestos Lawsuits
Several former U.S. Navy Workers have filed and asbestos lawsuit disputing the claim they received is inadequate because of discriminatory practices of the trust they are dealing with.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the workers – who hail from Greece, England, and Malta – claim they contracted asbestos-related diseases from working on active duty warships docked in their countries as well as other places such as Pearl Harbor in Hawaii and Norfolk Naval Shipyard in Virginia. They say that their illnesses are a result of asbestos exposure in Johns Manville products found in the ships’ engine rooms, boiler rooms, and other confined areas.
